Six framesets lined up in low light, one per colorway

Colorways: how a frame palette gets chosen

A frame palette is a portfolio problem: most buyers choose with their eyes and live with the choice for years. The tin blue above went through eleven rejected mixes before the shade survived both sunlight and shop lighting.

One loud, two quiet

The rule across the range: one expressive finish to photograph, two restrained ones to sell. Loud colors launch the bike; quiet ones outlast the season. Sales data agrees with embarrassing consistency.

Color under clearcoat

Metallic and pearl shifts live in translucent layers over the carbon, which means the same paint code looks different over raw weave than over primer. Every colorway is validated on an actual frame, not a spray-out card — panels lie.

The one we didn't ship

A gradient fade tested beautifully and repaired terribly: matching a fade after a warranty repair takes a full repaint. If a finish can't be repaired panel-by-panel, it doesn't ship. Design includes the third year of ownership. Both colorways are on the Spear RDC Frameset page.
